Financial Protection: Responsible with your Money

At H2O we take the principle of responsible tour operating seriously. With H2O you book secure in the knowledge that your holiday carries full financial protection through our Trust Account, our ATOL Licence and our Travel Trust Association membership.

Trust Account
When you make payment to H2O for any holiday, through whichever Payment Option, your money goes directly into H2O's Trust Account. The Trust Account is a bank account designated exclusively to hold monies deposited by H2O's guest's. Your money remains in the Trust Account and is supervised by H2O's appointed Trustees (TTA Trustees). Both H2O AND the Trustees are required to authorise any withdrawal from the Trust Account. In the unlikely event that H2O became insolvent your money is then secured and available to pay for your holiday or to be refunded to you in the event that your holiday can not proceed as planned.
ATOL - Air Travel Organiser's Licence (T9442):
The air holidays shown are protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is T9442. This Licence protects guests booking an H2O holiday that includes international flights, from financial loss or from being stranded abroad. If anything were to happen to H2O the CAA would make a refund to you or, if you're abroad, will arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home.

NB: ATOL Protection only applies to our holidays that include international flights from the UK. Your confirmation invoice will show if this applies to you, please ask if you are unsure.
TTA - Travel Trust Association (U6748):
The Travel Trust Association is a travel trade association. Should H2O financially fail or cease trading, the Travel Trust Association will liaise with our suppliers to ensure that your holiday goes ahead unaffected. If for any reason this is not possible, the TTA will administer a claim for a refund of money that you have paid to H2O for your holiday. As a member of the Travel Trust Association we are required to abide by the member Code of Conduct to ensure that our guests receive the best possible service. While our Trust Account should protect your monies paid to H2O our TTA membership provides a second level of financial protection where, through fraud or dishonesty or the need to pre-pay suppliers, the money is not in H2O's Trust Account. When you book a holiday with H2O, you will be issued a guarantee certificate – to see the terms of the guarantee Click Here. The TTA will guarantee H2O's financial obligation for any one guest up to a maximum of £11,000. So if you paid £2000 the TTA guarantee will reimburse the loss of the £2000, where it is not available for you from the Trust Account. Though we'd hope this never arrises in the event of a breakdown of communication or a serious disagreement between H2O and yourselves, the Travel Trust Association can also act as an independent intermediary (Click Here for details).
